Course Structure and Duration Course Type: Part Time Duration: 1 year Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Times: 9:30am to 12:30pm Modules: Information Technology Communications Computer Applications Mathematics Desktop Publishing Word Processing Spreadsheets Work Experience This programme is structured so that there is flexibility for the learner who does not wish to complete the whole programme and only has an interest in completing one or more programme modules. In this case the learner may achieve a FETAC Component Certificate. Who is this course for? This course is for early school leavers who wish to improve their computer skills and improve their job opportunities or those who wish to progress on to FETAC Level 5 courses.
The course is free to participants who are early school leavers or those who are currently unemployed, or who are on a very low income. Applications All applicants are interviewed to help them choose the right programme and level of course. An interview also allows us to make sure that any appropriate resources and supports are provided to learners, when the place is accepted. Places are allocated based on successfully meeting the eligibility criteria, learner need, learner suitability for the programme and places available.
