UNDERSTANDING SPECIAL NEEDS - FETAC Level 5

Wednesday 25th | 2013 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm | Duration: 12 Weeks | Fee €220.00

Plus one Saturday included.

This FETAC Certified programme aims to provide the learner with the required background knowledge, skills, and competence to work effectively under direction, in a special needs setting.

CAKES FOR PARTIES

Tuesday 21st | 7.00pm to 9.00pm | Duration: 6 Weeks | Fee €85

Gain an introduction to cake decorating, where you will learn to make and decorate cakes for special occasions. Ingredients are not supplied.

IRISH FOR IMPROVERS – Leaving Certificate Oral Irish (Standard Level)

Monday 23rd | 7.00pm to 9.00pm | Duration: 10 Weeks | Fee €120

This course is taught to a general Leaving Certificate oral Irish standard, by a qualified teacher. The course is suitable for all ages, and it is a great way to improve your spoken Irish.

This course is ideal for those who wish to revisit old skills, or to create new ones. Here, you will learn to speak Irish in a fun and practical way.

PRACTICAL FIRST AID - Certified by the Red Cross

Tuesday 24th | 7.30pm - 9.30pm | Duration: 6 Weeks | Fee €120

In this course, you will learn essential First Aid procedures; including successfully dealing with the following: choking, bleeding, poisons, epilepsy, basic life support, asthma, minor injuries, breaks, fainting, diabetes, burns and more.

SOCIAL NETWORKING FOR BUSINESS, CLUBS, AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS.

Carers working in caring services frequently find work with individuals who can at times exhibit difficult, challenging and sometimes violent behaviour.  This programme seeks to equip learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to these situations in a caring, balanced and professional manner.

MANUAL HANDLING

Last Thursday each month 1.00pm - 5.00pm | Duration: 1 Class | Fee €60
26th September, 25th October and 28th November

Manual Handling Injuries are the largest single cause of accidents within the workplace in Ireland. To comply with the 2007 Manual Handling Regulations, staff engaged in manual handling must be trained in the safe handling of loads.

This Manual Handling course will train you to carry out manual handling tasks correctly, so as to avoid back injuries. Certification will be valid for 3 years.

In this modern age, computer skills are essential in almost every area of work, especially in the IT industry. This course will get you off to a great start by teaching you essential typing skills, and how to develop your typing speed. For those aged 11 to 18.

       Introduction To Family Law

     Tuesday 24th | 7.00pm to 9.00pm | Duration: 8 Weeks | Fee €120.00

This course gives a basic understanding of the rights and entitlements of the child, and family under Irish and International law.  It explores the Irish legal system, fundamental rights of the child and family as outlined in the Irish constitution.

The course will be of interest to those involved in work which deals with family law issues, information providers, and for those with an interest in the subject.

This will allow you to access and organise your email, calendars, and documents wherever you are. This is the course that makes Cloud Computing accessible to everybody. *Smart phone required for the course.
